Most brands don't have a marketing problem. They have a clarity problem.
The strategy is fuzzy. The team is stretched. Brand is pulling one direction, performance another. And the founder is still the one carrying it all.
That's the moment this work was built for.
Meet Brynn
Brynn Hunte is a fractional CMO for founder-led brands.
A decade in DTC and consumer wellness taught her something most marketers never learn: the brands that win aren't the loudest ones or the best-funded ones. They're the ones that actually know who they're talking to. Everything else is downstream of that.
She's scaled brands like FOCL and Sunny Within from early-stage to seven figures a month, not by chasing trends, but by getting relentlessly specific about the customer and building everything, brand and performance, around that person.
Most marketing leaders pick a side. Creative or data. Story or system. Brynn never has. She holds both, because a founder-led brand doesn't have the luxury of choosing.
That discipline became the Field Framework: five questions, asked in order, before a single campaign gets built. Who the customer actually is. What their life actually looks like. Where the product actually fits inside it. Why they'd let the brand in. How the brand earns the right to stay.
The goal was never to be liked. It was to become the brand a customer couldn't imagine cutting.
If the ambition is real but the clarity isn't there yet, that's the work.
Left brain. Right brain. One partner.
Most marketing leaders are strong on one side. Creative directors who go quiet when the numbers come up. Growth marketers who can't write a brand brief that means anything.
Brynn built her career refusing to pick. Brand strategy in the morning, performance dashboards in the afternoon, and she's the one connecting what each side reveals so the other one gets smarter.
For a founder-led brand, where there's no room for a translation layer between the vision and the P&L, that's not a nice-to-have. It's the job.
A few other things worth knowing
Built and produced Culture Made Podcast from nothing. Nationally recognized athletes, musicians, and cultural leaders, booked and produced by her, one guest at a time, until it was an audience instead of a feed.
On nonprofit boards since 2009, including prison reform, veterans, underprivileged children, and STEM education. Currently helps run an annual golf tournament benefiting men's breast cancer awareness.
200-hour certified yoga instructor. The same discipline that builds a brand builds a practice: show up, stay honest about what's actually working, adjust.
Wife, mom, and someone who builds things the same way at home as she does at work: with care, and without cutting corners.
